Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Less than two minutes after the message was sent, Lan Qi followed the location and found them.
Seeing that Ming Chu was unharmed, she finally let out a sigh of relief. "What happened just now? Did you run into any trouble? Thank goodness you're okay, otherwise I wouldn't know how to explain it when I got back."
Ming Chu gave a troubled smile. "Today's events are a long story. Let's get down to business first. Oh, right, I'll share the side quest with you. And where is your cousin? Let's go over and share the quest with them too; they've been helping us stall people here, so they should have some contribution."
Even if the contribution might not be much.
But hey, it's a side quest—might as well grab it while we can.
Sure enough, upon learning there was another side quest to piggyback on, Lan Qi's cousin and his group agreed without hesitation to help with stalling and providing timely reports.
By 'timely reports,' they meant that if the people from the Divine Tree Base prepared to head back, the fastest runner among the five of them would sprint ahead to give them a heads-up so they could be prepared.
"Alright, then I'll leave it to you all," Ming Chu nodded at them. "We'll be heading back now."
The younger cousins waved enthusiastically, repeatedly urging them to be careful.
Both Ming Chu and Lan Qi possessed monstrous physical strength; even on foot, they were no slower than vehicles in the mountain forest.
In fact, because they could travel through the trees, they were able to take a straight path.
So, while the drive there took three or four hours, the return trip only took two and a half.
Of course, by this time, Awuh had already entered the portable safe house. They only emerged again after squeezing through a weakly guarded section of the base's perimeter using the safe house.
The city wall was ten meters thick, so Ming Chu had to place the safe house at an angle just to get through.
Once inside, their first priority was to return home.
Because they arrived back so early, Chang Zhou and the others in the room were startled when they opened the door.
