Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
"Tomorrow Tavern" was actually much like a bar, but they only served alcohol here. The lighting was dim and soft, and people came here to relax rather than to seek excitement.
Because of this, business at Tomorrow Tavern had always been quite good.
—However, in any place like a tavern or bar, the main business hours were at night. During the day, everyone was busy surviving, working, or earning enough money to feed themselves, so even though the tavern was open during the day, there were very few people around.
This was the reason the boy felt he could directly confront Ming Chu. There were no customers in the shop, so even if they captured the three of them, no one would know. Besides, they didn't intend to take Ming Chu's life; they would just lock her up for a day, toss in a couple of bottles of water and some compressed biscuits, and she wouldn't starve.
This was the very logical thinking of the boy and his thugs. They all looked down on Ming Chu, and when they moved to act, only one person reached out to grab her while the others watched the spectacle.
In their eyes, one person was enough to deal with Ming Chu.
So, when that massive palm was easily blocked by Ming Chu, and the thug's face turned red as he couldn't even pull his hand back, the onlookers were stunned.
Ming Chu looked at the others and tilted her head. "All together now?"
A provocation!
She was provoking them!
This was being mocked right to their faces!
"Fine, fine, fine! Let's see if you can keep acting so arrogant!"
The burly men looked reckless, but they were actually quite cautious. When they realized Ming Chu's strength might not be what they imagined, they didn't feel embarrassed at all and all attacked at once.
And in less than a minute, they were all lying on the ground.
The men on the floor were clutching their stomachs and legs, curling their bodies like boiled shrimp. Ming Chu looked at the only one still standing, the boy. "Are you going to help me find Chu Xin, or should I keep calling people out so I can keep hitting them?"
The boy couldn't help but gulp, looking at Ming Chu with terrified eyes.
Ming Chu smiled. "Make your choice quickly; I don't want to waste any more time."
Choose my foot!
