Chapter 168: The Sunset Flickered

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

Boys are generally stronger than girls.

So, the three big bags Ming Chu had looked very light in the hands of Dan Jin and Classmate Zhang. Dan Jin could even carry two bags in one hand while holding his milk tea in the other.

The school was not far from the street where Ming Chu was shopping, just a ten-minute walk. Dan Jin and Classmate Zhang sent the two girls to the bottom of the dormitory building, but boys were not allowed in the girls' dormitory, so carrying them up was left to Ming Chu and Li Xian.

“Sigh, if only we lived on the first floor.” Li Xian muttered, picking up the heaviest bag first.

That bag was half fruit. As soon as Li Xian picked it up, the straps dug into her hands. She grimaced, gritting her teeth and holding on, even wanting to take another bag.

Ming Chu raised a hand to stop her: “That one is already very heavy. I’ll take these two bags, let’s try to rush up in one go.”

“Okay.” Li Xian started running up, only managing to throw back a sentence: “Dan Jin, Classmate Zhang, thank you both today!”

Ming Chu carried the remaining two bags, her arms clearly weighed down by the load. She nodded at the two boys, too busy to say anything, and gritted her teeth as she followed Li Xian up the stairs.

Ming Chu and Li Xian were roommates, and even bunkmates, so Ming Chu only needed to follow Li Xian to find their room.

Because Ming Chu was a step behind, by the time she got upstairs, Li Xian was already lying on the bed near the door, panting: “Chuchu, you, let me lie on your bed for a bit.”

“Did you hurt your hands?” Ming Chu went over to check her hands, and only after seeing they were just a little red did she feel relieved.

She sat on the bed for two minutes and started tidying up her things.

Names were posted on the beds, and names were also posted on the dormitory lockers. Ming Chu had two keys in her pocket: one for the locker and one for the dormitory door.
