Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The soldier insect looked much thinner than the large bug Ming Chu had encountered outside the city two days ago, but once they truly clashed, she realized this one was far more difficult to handle.
A thinner body granted the soldier insect greater agility. It was just as strong, possessed even tougher defenses than the previous bug, and was significantly smarter.
As Ming Chu slashed at its upper body, it whipped its tail around violently. The long, slender tail whistled through the air, smashing toward her.
Ming Chu jumped backward to dodge, and the tail slammed into the ground.
The concrete floor was cracked, leaving a small crater from the impact.
Before it could retract its tail, Ming Chu planted her feet, shifted her weight, and stomped down hard on the tip of the tail. The soldier insect let out a pained hiss and whipped its head around, aiming to bite her leg.
Ming Chu didn't dare gamble on whether the creature had teeth or if they could pierce her protective suit. She quickly pulled her foot back and swung her blade down, landing a direct hit on the creature's forehead.
It was as if the soldier insect had offered its head up on a platter.
Ming Chu put significant force into the blow, and a deep gash opened up on the creature's forehead.
The pain caused it to roll on the ground twice. Its hatred for Ming Chu intensified, and with a sharp hiss, the surrounding insects swarmed over. However, they didn't all surround Ming Chu; instead, some threw themselves directly into the soldier insect's mouth.
Ming Chu watched as the wound on the soldier insect's forehead healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Her eyelids twitched, and she made an instant decision.
"This special insect can heal its wounds by devouring other insects!" Ming Chu shouted.
She didn't know how intelligent this soldier insect was or if it could understand human speech.
