Chapter 99: Soldier Insects

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

The insects were really here.

The dense swarm of insects turned around. Sensing something that tempted them to the extreme, they rushed crazily toward the flames.

The fire belt at the edge of the sewer manhole was over 5 meters wide, and as a result, most of the insects were burned to death.

Saying most were burned to death was, of course, because a small portion of the insects could actually charge through the fire.

But fortunately, there were many people around holding various long tongs or long-handled knives. Wherever an insect leaked through, they were watched closely and stabbed to death!

Overall, the situation was still under control.

But this was just the beginning. Too many insects rushing over caused the fire and oil that were originally spread on the ground to be smothered.

Fortunately, there were plenty of spare supplies, so everyone frantically threw small bottles of oil and small torches.

The fire belt in this area could not be extinguished. If it went out, the insects were simply not something they could resist!

More importantly...

The deputy battalion commander couldn't help it: "Why are all these insects coming in my direction?"

"Oh, they covet me," Ming Chu said in a flat voice.

The deputy battalion commander: "...Say something I can understand."

"Because I haven't been infected, and I'm in very good physical condition," Ming Chu said, "Is that clear enough?"

The deputy battalion commander fell silent for a moment.

He had been completely distracted by Ming Chu's overly youthful face earlier, and then the insects had arrived. Only now, hearing her words, did he really look at her.
