Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Ming Chu climbed out of the window again, but this time she used a rope.
Fortunately, Xiao Wei could hold on. Although his wound still hurt, after Ming Chu quickly changed his dressing, he managed to climb down himself.
Ming Chu knew the way, and even though she wasn't in the best condition, most of the ghosts wandering outside were only D-grade and couldn't stop her.
When they reached the entrance of the outpatient building, Ming Chu found the doors locked.
"Is anyone there?"
Ming Chu called out, and then she saw a familiar face.
It was Wen Zheng.
Wen Zheng opened the door just a crack, "Come in quickly."
As soon as Ming Chu stepped inside, she collapsed onto the floor. She was gasping for air, which startled Wen Zheng, "What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
"My head is just a bit noisy," Ming Chu said, lifting her helmet to reveal a pale face.
"This is what you call 'just a bit noisy'??" Xiao Wei's face turned green.
He could see that half of Ming Chu's eyes were red, with a red ring nearly 2 millimeters thick around her pupils.
This was a sign of moderate pollution, and it was the result of intense exposure to at least an A-grade ghost.
"You must drink the purified water, you have to!" Xiao Wei was on the verge of forcing it down her throat.
"Lao Wu, stop him for me," Ming Chu waved her hand weakly.
And so, Xiao Wei was held back by Wen Zheng.
Xiao Wei's eyes were turning red too—from anger.
He demanded of Wen Zheng, "Do you know what state she's in? If you don't save her, if she doesn't drink the water, she won't be able to be saved!"
Wen Zheng was infected by his urgency, and since Xiao Wei was a native of this world, he hesitated after hearing his words.
Ming Chu looked at him, "Trust me."
She pointed to her head, "Those whispers... I seem to be able to hear some of them clearly. I feel like they contain important information."
"It's over, it's all over," Xiao Wei looked as if the sky had fallen, "She's gone, what are we going to do now?"
