Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
A loud "bang" echoed.
It was the sound of Ming Chu punching the chains.
The ghost energy on the chains had indeed decreased, but only by one-thirtieth.
This meant Ming Chu would need 29 more full-strength punches to save Xiao Cong.
Xiao Cong's eyes dimmed for a moment; the transition from hope to disappointment was hard to bear. Ming Chu immediately took out a bottle of purified water and poured it over the chains. Well, that only dispersed one percent—not even as effective as Ming Chu's fists.
Ming Chu threw her second punch.
Xiao Cong, who had been feeling miserable, suddenly startled, "Sister, run! It's coming back."
Ming Chu also felt a sudden sense of palpitations. Without hesitation, she shoved a dozen bottles of purified water into Xiao Cong's hands, "Drink these immediately. I will go back and find a way. Do you remember Xiao Wei? He's here too, and he has experience. I will find a way to save you, you must hold on."
After saying this, Ming Chu placed Xiao Cong on the rooftop and jumped down herself.
"Sister!"
Xiao Cong felt a jolt of alarm in her heart.
But through the blur, she saw Ming Chu land safely and quickly dash away.
Just as Ming Chu's figure disappeared from Xiao Cong's sight, Xiao Cong saw a crack open, and the familiar, terrifying presence was rushing toward her.
Xiao Cong didn't even have time to pull the stopper off the purified water; she shoved the bottle into her mouth and bit down hard.
The glass shattered, cutting Xiao Cong's mouth. Blood mixed with the purified water, and perhaps even some glass shards, were swallowed directly by Xiao Cong.
It hurt a little.
The pain deep inside her bones was even more scorching.
But Xiao Cong felt a strange sense of satisfaction from this pain.
"Someone came to save you?" The ghost entity returned to the office building in an instant. It gripped Xiao Cong's chin, forcing her to open her mouth.
However, the purified water had already been swallowed by Xiao Cong.
