Chapter 472: Leave It to You

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

The cleanup of an Eerie Domain is actually not a slow process.

It has been five years since the Eerie invasion began in this world. Humans have always been highly adaptable creatures; they have grown accustomed to coexisting with Eeries and finding ways to survive in the cracks.

Being able to retreat successfully is already the best possible outcome for them.

Therefore, no one refuses to cooperate.

The evacuation is actually arranged by logistics personnel, with Teams 1 and 3 primarily responsible for maintaining order and providing protection.

It was just that no one expected the situation to be resolved so quickly, nor did they anticipate that almost everyone could be rescued, so the logistics department sent slightly fewer vehicles than needed.

But that is fine; they can wait.

Xiao Wei, however, returned with Xu Ruo after confirming that everyone had been evacuated.

"Let's head back first." Xiao Wei sounded somewhat exhausted, whereas Xu Ruo, by contrast, was in excellent shape.

"You're going back already? Shall we go check for other Eeries? Are there any fixed Eerie locations tonight?" Ming Chu did not want to return just yet.

Xiao Wei fell silent for a moment before saying, "It's almost dawn; there isn't enough time. If you want to go, I can accompany you at nine o'clock tonight."

"That works too." Ming Chu thought she could go back first to talk to Deputy Bureau Chief Song about Xiao Cong and the new wanderers.

The journey back was quiet and went quite smoothly.

Although they occasionally encountered wandering Eeries, the creatures did not block their path.

Moreover, just as they arrived at the police station, a sliver of sunlight broke through.

Almost instantly, the Eeries on the streets vanished.

Day and night felt like two different worlds; the daylight was warm and bright, while the night was infested with ghosts.

The car did not stop at the entrance but drove straight inside. However, since it was already dawn, they didn't need to go to the underground parking lot and could get out right there.
