Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The attack seemed to emerge from a tear in space, devoid of killing intent or any warning.
It was an attack that even the woman's perception had missed. Just as the shorter man jumped from the second-floor window and was in that momentary pause before hitting the ground, it slammed directly into him.
First came a "thud" of impact, followed by a crisp "squelch" sound.
The former was the protective shield on the shorter man, triggered by the crisis, being smashed to pieces; the latter was the sound of the man's own body.
Capable of making such a sound, the shorter man was, of course, already done for.

"Second Brother!!"
The woman's eyes were wide with rage.
Because the taller man had sensed something was wrong due to the woman's warning, he was fast, but he only managed to reach the window in time to watch his brother explode.
Not even bones remained.
"You! Are! Dead!"
The taller man's eyes were bloodshot. He stared fixedly at Ming Chu, who had retreated five meters away to avoid the flying gore, and leaped at her to kill.
Often, rage can provide a boost to combat effectiveness.
The taller man clearly had rich combat experience; even in his fury, he didn't completely lose his mind. The anger only slightly increased his adrenaline.
Ming Chu clashed with him once and felt her hand go numb.
Sure enough, these three were much stronger than the team of five fallen players she had encountered before. Even with two gone, the reward for her would be greater.
And these three, while they didn't seem to care much for each other, actually had a deep bond.
If they weren't fallen players, Ming Chu would have felt a bit of affection for their bond.
But now, they were enemies.
And with enemies, it was kill or be killed.
"You sneaky rat!!" the woman cursed through gritted teeth.
