Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Days and nights of rain had flooded most of the city. At six or seven in the morning, a little sunlight had peeked through the misty rain, but by eight or nine, another heavy downpour began, and it hadn't stopped since.
Because of the constant rain, the sea level kept rising.
Ming Chu and the other two swam for twenty minutes before gradually stopping.
The port was originally at the edge of the coastline. Ming Chu and the other two were not slow, and twenty minutes was enough for them to penetrate 15km into the ocean.
Ming Chu had been to the ocean twice before. The first time was to save people at sea, and the second time was to find that octopus—come to think of it, the octopus's head was still alive and well.
But in fact, Ming Chu hadn't gone very deep either time.
The B-grade combat suit could isolate one's aura to a certain extent, so although Ming Chu and the other two saw many mutated marine creatures along the way, as long as they didn't make a move, those marine creatures didn't notice them.
They mostly just wandered around nearby, occasionally bumping into their own kind or others, and then rushing up to have a fight.
And now, in an area that could be considered a bit deeper, Ming Chu set her sights on a fish.
It didn't have the sword-like beak of the mutated swordfish Ming Chu had seen before, nor did it have the tentacles of an octopus. It looked like an ordinary fish that had just grown larger.
Ming Chu pointed at the fish, which looked to be over twenty meters long: "Want to try it?"
"Let's try," Xu Ruo said, eager to give it a go. "This fish must be worth a lot of points, right?"
Small creatures like blue shrimp or piranhas were usually worth 1-2 points each, and occasionally special ones could be worth 3 points, but the points were capped.
Recently, everyone had been busy, so Xu Ruo and the others would occasionally go out to kill a wave of small mutated fish, returning with ten or twenty points a day.
Now that they had this opportunity, they naturally wanted to try.
"Sister Yan?" Ming Chu asked Yan Yan.
Yan Yan smiled: "Don't forget, I'm also a combatant."
