Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Zhong Yue said 10 minutes, but she was down in 8.
She carried a 22-inch suitcase and a backpack, wearing comfortable sportswear and waterproof boots. Her long curly hair was tied up into a bun, making her look very sharp.
"I'm ready," Zhong Yue said with a bright smile.
"Do you want to say a few words to your dad?" Ming Chu asked with a mischievous glint. "Like, showing some concern for his kidneys?"
Uremic kidney failure was the reason the Second Uncle had specifically goaded Zhong Yue into returning.
Just as Ming Chu had expected, Zhong Yue wasn't surprised at all: "No need. His favorite illegitimate son is a match for him too. If he really wants to live, he has a way. Let's go, let's go. I need to see where we're staying so I can let my mom and dad know."
The Second Uncle was struck by lightning.
He hadn't expected Zhong Yue to know about this; he had kept it so well hidden.
Zhong Yue gave the Second Uncle a polite smile: "Dad, I've entrusted that 2% of shares to you for so many years, I won't say much more. The stuff in the West District warehouse belongs to me now."
"You, you!!"
The Second Uncle was so angry he vomited blood—literally.
Zhong Yue was like a happy little bird: "Are we taking the RV outside? Cousin, shall I hold the umbrella for you?"
Zhong Shuang remained cold: "No need. You can take the things in the warehouse yourself; we don't have room for them."
"Oh, it's fine, I have a few helpers. I'll have them move it for me," Zhong Yue said as she walked out with Ming Chu and the others.
The RV started up and drove away.
Inside the main building, the Second Uncle, who was coughing up blood, didn't see the eye contact exchanged by the others.
