Chapter 411: Searching for the Goddess

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

Ming Chu and her team packed their things and set off the very next day.

Leaving the gymnasium only required a simple registration. Many people were taking advantage of the fact that the inland areas hadn't been completely submerged yet to pay extra for bus or high-speed rail tickets to head home, so the registration clerk didn't find Ming Chu and her team's departure unusual at all.

“Hey? Miss Ming!”

Hearing a shout, Ming Chu turned back to see one of the official members from Team 9, who had been scavenging for supplies with them the day before.

Seeing that Ming Chu was about to leave, he looked helpless. “Didn't we already agree... why are you still leaving? We really didn't say anything.”

“It’s not that. I had things to do from the start, so I wasn't planning on staying here long,” Ming Chu shook her head.

The Team 9 member replied, “Even if you’re leaving, you should take the supplies allocated to you. You brought up quite a lot of supplies; it’s enough for you to eat for at least a week or ten days, right?”

The official rewards for scavengers were generous. Scavengers were entitled to one-tenth of all supplies they retrieved. Furthermore, the authorities helped process items that only required simple disinfection for free, charging fees only for items that required complex handling.

In other words, for every ten catties of rice Ming Chu retrieved, one catty was hers.

And Ming Chu had retrieved far more than ten catties yesterday.

It was estimated that there were at least five or six hundred catties of rice, flour, and other supplies, along with plenty of drinks and alcohol.

This meant she was entitled to nearly one hundred catties of supplies.

Ming Chu hadn't actually wanted them at first. When she snuck into the warehouse, she had already collected a portion of the supplies through the door. It was only after reaching SS-rank that she discovered she could collect items remotely.

The warehouse of that shopping mall was extremely well-sealed, so the supplies inside hadn't actually been soaked in water. Ming Chu had collected everything that would spoil easily if wet, leaving behind only items in sealed bags and canned drinks.

As for the water-damaged items visible inside, Ming Chu had actually taken them from the supermarket shelves outside and placed them into the warehouse herself.

Since everyone was rummaging through things anyway, and many items had already been tossed into a mess, no one would notice that a portion of the water-damaged goods had suddenly disappeared.
