Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
After a half-hour of jolting, Ming Chu returned home.
She came down from upstairs and, as expected, saw her family waiting for her right on time. Her heart warmed. "I'm home."
"You're back? Just in time, your dad made your favorite stir-fried shrimp, I cooked sweet and sour pork ribs, and your sister even made a little cake. Come and have a taste?" Mother Ming gestured toward the sumptuous meal on the dining table.
In truth, Ming Chu wasn't hungry, but she loved eating with her family.
Besides, it was past one o'clock, so it could be considered lunchtime.
Before she returned, her family probably hadn't been able to eat much of anything.
The table was filled with six dishes, a soup, and a small cake for dessert. In the end, everything was cleared. Everyone's appetite had increased quite a bit. After eating and drinking their fill, Ming Ling held Ming Chu's hand and asked curiously, "Sis, did you bring back anything fun this time?"
"Nothing fun; this time was quite troublesome." The mere thought of the horrors in the previous world gave Ming Chu a headache.
What gave her an even bigger headache was that the train was about to select a new batch of players.
Ming Chu was actually hesitant about whether to tell Ming Ling, but she ultimately decided to hold off and speak with the authorities first before making a decision.
In any case, she had a week, so she wasn't in such a rush to talk about it.
Not to mention the matter of the special shop.
Ming Chu hadn't rushed to buy things from the special shop this time. Although she had the cut Gui Ling had allocated to her, who would complain about having too much money? Ming Chu decided to come back and ask the authorities if they wanted to pool their resources for shopping; if they could scrape together more money, perhaps they could buy more good items.
Of course, this was after asking Conductor Chang Xi.
