Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
A crisp 'ding' echoed as the blade collided with the card.
The next second, Ming Chu's blade snapped.
But the inch-long card had also vanished.
The woman's pupils constricted: "How is this possible? Where is my prop? How could it just disappear?"
"You still wanted to kill me," Ming Chu shook her head with regret, "so you were lying to me."
"So what if I lied? Do you really think I could go back without completing the mission?" The woman laughed maniacally, "I don't have a ticket anymore!!"
Ming Chu vaguely recalled that from the moment they boarded the Nuwa train, they had been warned to keep their tickets safe, yet their tickets were never physical objects; they were always in the mobile app or stored within their wristbands.
They had never received a mission to find a physical ticket.
But it was different for this woman.
Still, it made sense.
Ming Chu shook her head: "But you could have lived in this world."
"No, we never had a chance. We would have fallen into the space-time rift, hahahaha."
The woman laughed wildly, her eyes filled with hatred as she looked at Ming Chu, and beneath that hatred, there was jealousy: "Do you think people on your train can live in other worlds?"
"They are still alive," Ming Chu said firmly.
At the very least, if they had forgotten to board, they would still be living in other worlds.
The woman's expression stiffened, but she remained stubborn: "You've been deceived. You just believe whatever they tell you? Have you ever actually verified it?"
"I don't need to prove anything to you," Ming Chu crouched down and said, "How about we make a deal? You tell me the information about your world and that train, and perhaps I can grant you one or two wishes."
"Fine. I want to eat Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, and I want ice cream." The woman raised an eyebrow, full of provocation.
Ice cream was fine, but Buddha Jumps Over the Wall could not be made in a day or two.
"Done." Ming Chu pulled both items directly out of her spatial storage.
