Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The platform.
Unexpectedly, Ming Chu was not the first one to return to the platform this time.
The first to return was Yan Yan.
Yan Yan looked exhausted. "You made it back safely too?"
"What happened to you?" Ming Chu couldn't help but pull Yan Yan around to inspect her. There were no visible wounds; it seemed Yan Yan was just mentally drained.
Yan Yan was indeed mentally exhausted.
She gritted her teeth, "I really wish I had an armory so I could blow them all to pieces!!"
This trip to the other world had been a psychological torture for Yan Yan.
The world Yan Yan entered was the same as Ming Chu's, though perhaps they were in two different parallel versions; the foundations were largely the same.
There was a person like Shen Chuan, and there was a base just like that one.
Because of the gains from her previous worlds and the combat suit Ming Chu had sold her, Yan Yan had been like a fish in water, even when she was initially dropped into the forest.
She hadn't expected that the wilderness wouldn't be the biggest challenge; the nightmare only began once she reached the base.
As before, she had first revealed her identity as a doctor.
Doctors in the apocalypse were extremely valuable; no matter which world they were in, they were highly prized.
Yan Yan had expected to gain a certain social status and respect, and to be able to earn a living.
But things turned out worse than she imagined. After she showed a bit of her ability—specifically her superior talent for saving lives compared to others—she was taken into a laboratory.
She also met X-0, but the research institute's goal was to have her use her superb medical skills (talent) to treat X-0.
Upon seeing X-0's experimental records, Yan Yan knew she wouldn't be able to leave.
If she had the strength, she absolutely would have blown that research institute to smithereens.
