Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The Wolf King had taken the initiative to speak!
Shen Chuan, who could also vaguely perceive the Wolf King's intent, felt his heart pound heavily.
He hadn't expected things to go so smoothly, and he could sense that the Wolf King's attitude toward this group of humans had become friendlier by a fraction or two—well, mostly because they were basking in Ming Chu's reflected glory.
But that didn't matter; as long as there was a good beginning, they could find a way to maintain it going forward.
"Regarding our request, we hope to move into the valley right next to you," Ming Chu said.
That's right, the wolf pack didn't actually live in the valley.
Although the environment in the valley was nice, it was too steep, and there were no caves suitable for the wolf pack to live in, so they lived on the adjacent mountain, though they had claimed the valley as half their territory.
The Wolf King lay on the ground, raising its head just slightly to tower over Ming Chu. It looked down at her from above and let out a deep, "Hroooo."
Just your few people?
Ming Chu shook her head, "No, there are other humans. There will be many humans."
The Wolf King's mood was unreadable: "Hrooo, aww, hrooo-hrooo."
The wolf pack was injured because of humans.
Ming Chu answered candidly, "I know. Did you see that companion of mine?"
She pointed her finger at Shen Chuan.
The Wolf King condescendingly glanced at Shen Chuan, and Ming Chu continued, "His body is very weak, and you should be able to sense a bit of that. His body was also damaged because of humans—most likely the same group of humans that hurt you."
Pausing for a moment, Ming Chu asked with some concern, "You got injured near the Divine Tree, didn't you? Is that huge python on the tree alright?"
The Wolf King gave Ming Chu a strange look. That gaze was very complex—a bit shocked, a bit puzzled, and yet also carrying a sort of understandable matter-of-factness.
Ming Chu felt a little creeped out by its stare, but before she could ask, the Wolf King replied, "Aww."
The big snake is fine.
To them, the giant python existed like a beast king.
