Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Ming Chu lowered her head, and everyone followed her gaze, hearing only two milky, whimpering sounds.
It was a chubby little wolf.
The wolf cub hadn't walked steadily, rolled out, and bumped into Ming Chu's leg. As a result, it got angry, hugged Ming Chu's leg, and started whimpering.
It was like it was trying to stage a fake accident to blame her.
Ming Chu patted its head. "Little cub, are you trying to be the wolf who cries wolf first?"
Wolf cub: "Awoo! Woo-woo-woo! Awoo-ying!"
First of all, Ming Chu could roughly perceive the intentions of beasts. However, the wolf cub was like a human child; because it was so young, its babbling sometimes didn't express its meaning at all.
So it whimpered for a long time, and Ming Chu didn't understand what it meant.
It wasn't until the wolf cub kept licking Ming Chu's pant leg with its little tongue that Ming Chu hesitantly asked, "Could it be hungry?"
The wolf cub was still babbling: "Awoo-woo-woo!"
Lan Qi squatted down, looking amazed. "Why do these animals keep bumping into you? Is there something you have that they like?"
"Not really, right?" A flash of the little Divine Tree's sap crossed Ming Chu's mind.
But then she thought, when Mangmang followed her, she hadn't even seen the Divine Tree yet. Mangmang had given her a Divine Fruit back then; it clearly didn't just like her in a normal way.
Ming Chu thought for a moment. "Maybe I have an affinity with animals? I did have quite a few cats and dogs that liked me in the past."
She hadn't had much contact with other animals, so she didn't know.
"Maybe so." Lan Qi clicked her tongue twice and raised her hand to grab the wolf cub.
As a result, the wolf cub actually dodged. It even bared its teeth and made a threatening growl at Lan Qi.
Those little baby teeth didn't look big, but the display was very fierce.
Lan Qi's eyes flashed, and she deliberately reached out to touch it again. The wolf cub really did bite fiercely, but it ended up biting a branch in Lan Qi's hand. The branch was about as thick as a human wrist, and the wolf cub's seemingly non-threatening baby teeth bit through half of it.
Lan Qi hissed, "Those little teeth are sharp! And it's really acting like that to flirt with you?"
