Chapter 283: Titan Python

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

This was not the first time Ming Chu and Lan Qi had fought in tandem.

The last time they worked together, they were facing a giant subterranean pterosaur.

Strictly speaking, the giant pterosaur's combat style was far more bizarre, and its defensive capabilities were much stronger than this giant bear's. Even without Xu Ruo and the others to help, the pressure on Ming Chu and Lan Qi was not particularly overwhelming.

The giant bear possessed immense strength, but both Ming Chu and Lan Qi utilized highly agile fighting styles; powerful attacks lost their deterrent effect if they couldn't hit their target.

After just a few probing strikes, they adapted to the creature's fighting style—especially Lan Qi. Her combat experience was so extensive that while it was supposed to be a mutual effort, she was actually doing more to accommodate Ming Chu's rhythm.

Working in tandem, they achieved a result where one plus one was greater than two.

In less than a minute, they found an opening: one attacked the giant bear's most vulnerable eyes, while the other took advantage of the bear guarding its vitals to leverage its paw.

Then, combining their strength, one kicked the shoulder while the other kicked the back of the knee.

The giant bear crashed to the ground with a thud, creating a shallow crater in the soft earth.

The giant bear was stunned.

It never expected that two little bugs—mere fragile humans—could actually flip it over.

"Perfect." Ming Chu tossed a blade to Lan Qi. "Try my knife."

Lan Qi weighed it and looked puzzled. "The balance feels a bit strange. Where did you get this?"

"It's great for breaking through defenses, anyway." Ming Chu demonstrated for her.

The blade wasn't long, but it was incredibly sharp.

She only needed to use about thirty percent of her strength to slice through the giant bear's skin.

"Good stuff. Can you trade one to me?" Lan Qi set her sights on Ming Chu's weapon.

"It's yours." Ming Chu was very generous. "We just don't have enough materials right now, so I only managed to get a few extra in the first batch, but they'll be distributed later."

Lan Qi gave Ming Chu a thumbs up. "It must be another good thing you brought back."
