Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
"Miss Ming, Awuh, why are you two outside? Can't you sleep?"
A familiar voice drifted over.
Ming Chu turned around, not at all surprised to see Chu Xin. She sighed with a look of worry on her face: "I really can't sleep. Isn't there something I want to get done?"
Chu Xin's heart jumped into her throat: "What do you want to do? Do you need my help?"
She hoped Ming Chu would say she needed help so she wouldn't act impulsively; if they caused a scene, things would become very difficult to manage later.
"I do need help," Ming Chu nodded.
Chu Xin felt something was off.
She watched as Ming Chu walked up to her, stood on tiptoe to drape an arm over the 1.7-meter-tall Chu Xin's shoulder, and whispered in her ear: "Do you know where Awuh's brother is being held?"
Chu Xin's scalp tingled. She lowered her voice: "Didn't I already tell you? I can't tell you about our plan; they won't agree to it."
"I'm not asking you to tell me your plan. I just need your help to take me to the place where Awuh's brother is," Ming Chu said, looking very friendly.
But Chu Xin felt desperate.
She suddenly realized: "You were wandering around nearby on purpose, weren't you?"
"That's right," Ming Chu said as if it were obvious. "Why else?"
Why else?
If not for that, she wouldn't have come out; she could have just followed behind.
But that wouldn't work either.
Ming Chu seemed stronger than her; even if she tried to follow, she would have been caught.
From the moment she started worrying about the 19th floor and had people watching it, she was bound to be drawn out.
Chu Xin clutched her forehead. After a long while, she asked: "What exactly do you want to do?"
