Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Just as Ming Chu had thought, it was now Yu Feng and his team who were begging Ming Chu and the others to go to the base.
Their team actually had 19 people, but by the time they met Lan Qi, there were only 7 left.
Not to mention that there were wounded among these 7, just considering how far they had run to escape danger, it would be a miracle if even one of them survived the walk back.
Therefore, upon sensing that Lan Qi was interested in the Divine Tree Base, Yu Feng and his teammates were selling it hard.
"Our Divine Tree Base was one of the first eight bases established. After seven years of development, it has expanded significantly. Because we are close to the Divine Tree, we've obtained many good materials from it and researched many useful weapons and medicines. Isn't that what you're out exploring for, Sister Lan Qi?"
Explorers—that was the title they had guessed for Lan Qi.
It was only after talking to Awuh later that Ming Chu and Lan Qi learned about the special status of Explorers.
Explorers could essentially be called a suicide squad. Since the beginning of the apocalypse, they had been the most dangerous group, responsible for exploring the environment and dangers outside the base.
Correspondingly, they held the most special status in the base and could earn a lot of money, living very well.
Just like Awuh's brother, who had also been an Explorer.
As for Yu Feng and his group misunderstanding Lan Qi's status as an Explorer, that was normal, because Explorers were almost the top-tier combat power of any base.
The pack of wolves that had chased their group until they had nowhere to run was driven away by Lan Qi alone; if she wasn't an Explorer, who was?
Ever since plants and animals evolved and grew larger, travel between bases had become exceptionally difficult.
Therefore, seeing such a powerful Explorer as Lan Qi, Yu Feng and the others assumed she was from some distant base.
They even had more guesses about Lan Qi's strength, because being able to walk such a long distance safely and still look so relaxed and comfortable meant she was definitely among the very best.
