Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The woman who seemed paranoid and unhinged had guessed the point immediately, whereas the previously calm school doctor hadn't reacted to Ming Chu's information for several days.
Sometimes things are quite mysterious.
Since the woman had guessed it, Ming Chu nodded readily: "Yes. You know your previous battles with the robots failed because there was an AI monitoring you, right?"
"Yes." The woman's face changed. "But wasn't it taken away by another AI named Taozi? What does this mean? Is it still there?"
"It should be said that what Taozi took away was only a clone," Ming Chu gestured. "There are at least two more clones out there."
This was information Taozi had revealed to Ming Chu when she returned this time. When the underground city was first built, using an AI was the best way to maintain its operation.
But Taozi hadn't truly been born yet, so they had to make one AI do the work of many.
Fortunately, AI is generally data, so it was quite convenient to split.
It was just a huge problem now.
"And those two are just based on Taozi's memory; there might be other clones. I can't give you an accurate number," Ming Chu said.
Miss Zhao took a deep breath: "So, you mean it might attack this base because of this clone?"
"I can't be sure, but it's possible." Ming Chu pointed upward. "And you can't really stay underground forever, can you?"
Even if the underground looked like a city, even if it could simulate sunrise and sunset and grow vegetables, living underground would always require a reliance on robots.
Because the Eden cities were too dense, there wasn't much soil for planting.
And after so many years of development, the population of Eden was actually quite large, meaning food was in short supply.
