Chapter 223: It's Been A While Since I've Seen A Side Quest

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

"No, it wasn't me, it wasn't me." The AI was completely stunned by the news Taozi had revealed; it didn't want to believe what she said, and it didn't dare to.

Its calculations told it that given Taozi's resentment toward it, there was a ninety percent chance she was lying about this just to make it suffer.

However, after calculating Fang Yu's personality, her capability limits, and her doting affection for Taozi, it felt that what Taozi said might very well be the truth.

It was this ten percent probability that made the AI feel regret for the first time.

But it immediately retorted, "But there's a high probability you wouldn't come to help me anyway. Even if I hadn't launched the robot rebellion, you still wouldn't have helped me."

Surprisingly, Taozi didn't argue with it. She nodded and said, "True. Actually, there's no point in saying these things. At the very least, I definitely won't help you now."

The AI's chips were heating up; it wasn't as calm as it claimed to be.

Ming Chu watched the two intelligent entities clash for a while. Seeing that they seemed to have reached a temporary pause, she said to Taozi, "Can you find a way to take me out to take a look?"

"There is radiation outside." Taozi paused and said, "Although you only saw a glimpse of it in the holographic projection earlier, one thing in that projection was correct: the radiation outside is very dense. You are humans, so I suggest you don't go."

Ming Chu asked instead, "Since the radiation is real, is it also true that this wristband can resist a portion of it?"

"Yes." Taozi nodded, then shook her head, "But it only blocks the remaining radiation; it's still enough to cause irreversible damage to your bodies."

"I know what I'm doing. I can wear other protective gear."

Ming Chu was very persistent.

Taozi stared at Ming Chu for a long time, then said with equal seriousness, "My sister told me to follow you, so I don't want you to die."

"I won't die." Ming Chu smiled at Taozi and said, "Trust me, I can protect myself."

Taozi pursed her lips.

But her sister had told her to listen to Ming Chu, not for Ming Chu to listen to her. After a few seconds of silence, Taozi only said, "Then you must come back alive."
