Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Qin Feiyue felt like he had lost his mind. He had actually brought Li Xian and Lin Tongtong to his office, granted them the highest level of protection, and then truly taken Ming Chu underground.
The base covered a vast area; the surface was for living and training, but the underground was a massive prison.
Or perhaps one could call it a laboratory.
Qin Feiyue, the man with the scar, was a veteran of the base. Although he was not a robot, his clearance level was quite high.
At the very least, no one questioned him when he took Ming Chu into the laboratory.
The attack on the base from the outside had drawn the attention of most people inside, so for the moment, no one noticed the unusual behavior of Ming Chu and Qin Feiyue.
Qin Feiyue swiped his card to open the elevator heading down. It stopped briefly at the third basement level, and Yan Yan stepped in.
The three of them remained silent until they reached the sixth basement level.
“This is where they are kept. Follow me.” Yan Yan led Ming Chu, walking straight to their destination as if she had a plan all along.
It was a transparent room containing a girl who looked very frail.
The glass room had walls on three sides and a solid wall on the fourth; she was facing that solid wall, passively resisting the gaze from the outside.
“What is special about her? You came all this way just to find her?” Qin Feiyue asked, puzzled.
Ming Chu only smiled. “Her talent is unique. I need her ability to help me save others.”
“Is her talent wall-phasing? Or spatial manipulation?”
Ming Chu smiled but said nothing.
During their brief conversation, the girl inside seemed to sense something. She hesitated for a moment before glancing back.
It was that one look that almost made her turn around in excitement.
However, she restrained herself. Remembering what had happened before, she turned her head back and remained silent, just as she had been before, making no further movements.
