Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Ming Chu left.
But Xu Ruo couldn't recover for a long time. She pondered the news she had just heard, standing motionless as if in a daze.
She subconsciously touched her ear, where there was an earpiece that others couldn't see clearly. It was because of this earpiece that she had trusted Yan Yan in the first place.
And just like Ming Chu now, she actually wanted to believe her.
Ming Chu seemed to want to convey some information to her, but she had reservations and hadn't said anything clearly.
What was she afraid of?
Was she afraid to speak even in the lounge?
Her watch suddenly vibrated. Xu Ruo looked down and saw the message displayed on it.
Gather at Office 133 in two hours; there is important information to share.
Xu Ruo felt that this was probably what Ming Chu had been referring to. Looking at the message, she lost the desire to train and took her clothes to wash up.
When she turned on the shower, Xu Ruo reached out and took out the item in her palm.
It was a note.
Sister Xu Ruo, I know you don't remember me, but please trust me, I have no malicious intent. In this base, do not trust anyone, and do not say anything you shouldn't to anyone—not even to me or others you trust. If you ever doubt whether the person in front of you is real, touch your ear. If the earpiece disappears, remember that everything you see is an illusion.
A note, with dense, printed text filled with Ming Chu's concern.
But after reading the note, Xu Ruo felt a heavy weight in her heart. She glanced at the back and found more words.
There must be many robots in the base, so be careful how you distinguish them. Also, as far as I know, there are only three earpieces in existence; a fourth one cannot exist.
After reading it, Xu Ruo expressionlessly began to crush the note with her fingers until it was almost powder, then flushed it down the drain.
