Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The curriculum at this elite high school was incredibly intense. Even though Ming Chu didn't spend most of her energy on her studies, she still felt the suffocating pressure of the atmosphere.
In this world, while the college entrance exam wasn't as critical as the high school entrance exam, it still served as a major dividing line.
Having missed the chance to enter the Paranormal Police academy through the high school entrance exam, the college entrance exam was still considered a way to defy fate.
The Paranormal Police represented a special status that transcended society, while the college entrance exam determined one's quality of life within it.
Therefore, even though Wang Rui had added Ming Chu to the whitelist, she couldn't afford to skip classes, and she even had to attend them with a fair amount of seriousness.
After a morning of classes, Ming Chu stretched, feeling her joints pop and crack.
She packed up her books and pens and looked at Li Xian: "Shall we go find Tongtong?"
"Sure, let's go." Li Xian, who had been completely drained, jolted to life, stood up, and became excited.
Among the three names Gu Qing had provided, the player with the mind-reading talent was the one Lin Tongtong had mentioned earlier. At first, Ming Chu found it hard to imagine why someone with the ability to read minds would be so obviously identified as abnormal.
That was until she saw that particular mind-reading player.
If someone hadn't told her that the girl's talent was mind-reading, Ming Chu would have assumed her talent was being a giant panda.
With those dark circles under her eyes and her eyelids drooping, she looked like she might drop dead at any second.
The mind-reading player was being held by the arm by Lin Tongtong, following along with a dazed expression. When Lin Tongtong saw Ming Chu and Li Xian, she immediately waved at them: "Chuchu, Xianxian, come help! Student Zhao is about to collapse from walking."
Ming Chu took a few quick steps over, grabbed the girl, and had the mind-reading player drape her arm over her shoulder. With Ming Chu carrying her, Lin Tongtong felt much lighter.
"B-benefactor..." Ming Chu initially thought Lin Tongtong was just being dramatic, but when the voice sounded off, she turned her head and realized the mind-reading player was looking at her with teary eyes.
"Are you alright?" Ming Chu asked hesitantly.
