Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Every regular train has a conductor and attendants.
But perhaps because the Infinite Train had always been shrouded in mystery, no one had ever imagined that human attendants would appear.
Everyone had assumed they would be technological intelligent lifeforms, like system interfaces or high-dimensional AI.
Yet now, a female attendant with fair skin and gentle features stood before them, dressed in a crisp, white outfit resembling a combat uniform that looked quite sharp.
Everyone ahead had turned around; Ming Chu could see half a head or a full head poking out from beside the egg-shaped seats.
"Thank you." Ming Chu accepted the invitation.
Only then did Gui Ling offer a perfect smile to the other players: "The Nuwa is now officially in operation. After this journey concludes, the Nuwa will undergo maintenance for 10 days, so the next trip will be in 14 days. During this period, players are free to use the store app. Additionally, starting today, every player will be issued a player bracelet, which can be found in the small box to the right of your seat."
Gui Ling seemed to have come solely to deliver the invitation and make this announcement. She bowed elegantly: "The message has been delivered. The train will return in 1 minute. Please fasten your seatbelts; the Nuwa is about to take you home."
Once Gui Ling left, Ming Chu opened the invitation.
It was a genuine invitation, stating that the conductor wished to have a word with her. It bore her name and the conductor's codename—Chang Xi.
The only thing left blank was the time. A small note explained that she could choose any time while on Blue Star; it didn't have to be now, and she could even fill it in after returning from the next otherworld.
Ming Chu tucked away the exquisite black invitation and stored it safely in her spatial storage.
