Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
'My lunch buddy is actually a hidden wealthy heiress?'
This headline alone would make many people click with excitement, and now it was happening right in Ming Chu's life.
But Director Jin was impartial. He only glanced at his niece once to confirm she was unharmed before shifting his focus entirely to Ming Chu: 'Hello, Ms. Ming. Thank you for killing that monster and saving potential lives and property.'
Ming Chu pondered for a moment and suddenly asked: 'Have you encountered these things before?'
Director Jin didn't answer immediately; instead, he gestured: 'Shall we talk inside?'
Ming Chu followed Director Jin inside.
Jin Silin wanted to follow, but was gently persuaded and blocked by two officers following behind. They would take Jin Silin and the other colleague to the next room to understand the situation.
As for the two people from the town police station who had come along, others would handle the information exchange with them.
But the real focus remained on Ming Chu and Director Jin.
Director Jin took Ming Chu to his office. The door was half-open. He sat at his desk, and Ming Chu sat opposite him. Across the desk, Director Jin looked up at Ming Chu: 'We have indeed seen this kind of monster before. Because we've seen them, we also know how difficult they are to deal with. I heard you killed it by yourself?'
'I killed it by myself,' Ming Chu admitted.
Director Jin didn't ask where Ming Chu's weapon was, nor did he ask about her background or where her combat skills came from. Instead, he asked another question: 'I heard you say this monster is related to the whole world? That they will cause very serious consequences?'
'Yes, it could be described as the end of the world.'
