Ming Chu was escorted into a small room by three officers. While they called it 'protection,' it was effectively 'surveillance.'
The person who reported the incident was Jin Silin. She had been worried about Ming Chu at the time, and being a clever girl, she didn't mention encountering an unknown monster when calling the police; instead, she said they had encountered a serial killer.
After all, wasn't a monster just like a serial killer?
Since she never explicitly stated that the 'serial killer' was a human, it wasn't technically a lie, right?
In fact, when Ming Chu first heard the police sirens, she could have quickly cleaned up the scene, stored the monster's carcass in her space, washed the ground with water, and changed her clothes further away, allowing her to pass as a victim.
But a side quest changed her mind.

Looking at the 10 points she had just gained, Ming Chu felt that this world was here to shower her with benefits.
She had been worried about not having enough points to buy physical enhancement pills for her family, and now, this opportunity had arrived.
However, encountering the Geocentric Pterosaur this time was an accident. She knew these creatures would appear all over the world, but that wasn't enough; she needed first-hand information, which meant she needed to leverage the power of the authorities.
After being left alone for nearly half an hour, two officers—one older and one younger—entered the room.
Although the room was small, it wasn't an interrogation room but a standard office. Ming Chu sat in a chair, the older officer pulled up another chair to sit opposite her, while the younger one stood to the side.
The older officer began the questioning: 'Name?'
'Ming Chu.'
