Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
A heaven-shaking explosion rang out.
Even though Ming Chu had dived quite far away, ten meters out, the deafening blast still left her ears ringing.
Liu Xu and Yan Yan were affected even more; Liu Xu was completely dizzy, as she was the furthest away, yet she was the most impacted.
But right now, aside from Yan Yan, no one had the capacity to worry about Liu Xu's dizziness.
The moment the explosion ended, Ming Chu scrambled up and squinted at the location of the giant bug.
The good news: the explosion from her small box of five grenades, plus the one she had tossed in—six in total—had blown the giant bug apart from the inside out. Its flesh and blood were scattered everywhere, and its entire upper half was now a mess.
But the terrifying part was that its lower half was still twitching; it didn't seem to be completely dead yet.
Ming Chu made a split-second decision and shouted to Squirrel, "Squirrel, help me get my bag."
When Squirrel arrived, Ming Chu used her knife to cut two palm-sized pieces of bug meat and put them into a glass jar, then poured oil over the giant bug's corpse and set it on fire.
A bizarre, intense aroma that could almost knock someone unconscious hit them instantly. Ming Chu wasn't careful and got choked by it. She hurriedly held her breath, threw in a few more glass bottles filled with oil, and only after confirming the fire was raging did she rush back to the vehicle.
Squirrel and Wind Leopard, who had been guarding, also scrambled onto the vehicle. Flying Mouse slammed on the gas, and the car sped away.
It wasn't until they were nearly 300 meters away that the scent stopped being suffocating.
But—
"No one appeared," Yan Yan murmured, sitting in her seat.
Ming Chu didn't react for a moment: "What?"
"I said, I didn't see anyone come out of that town," Yan Yan repeated.
Ming Chu froze, and then a chilling sensation crept up her spine.
It had been dusk when they arrived, and they had enough supplies in the car, so they hadn't thought to go into the town to look around.
