Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The afternoon journey was normal. Even with the multiple detours, they had covered two-thirds of the distance that day.
The rendezvous point was 230 kilometers from S City, meaning they had actually traveled about 160 kilometers in a straight line that day.
The place they rested for the night was a two-story self-built villa in the countryside.
The good thing about this villa was that it had a large courtyard where they could drive their vehicles inside. The first thing they did after getting out was spray insect repellent.
"Let's have something hot for dinner." Wind Leopard looked at Ming Chu and Liu Xu and asked: "Do you want to sleep in the car or go inside the house?"
"Don't we have tents? We'll sleep on the roof of the car." Ming Chu chose neither.
Liu Xu: "..."
Wind Leopard: "..."
The others: "..."
Ming Chu reasoned: "This way, if any accident happens, you can drive away directly without worrying that we won't have time to pack up."
That... made a lot of sense.
So, Wind Leopard climbed onto the roof to set up the tent for Ming Chu and Liu Xu, while Squirrel went to cook with a stove.
Because Wind Leopard said they would have a hot meal that night.
Ming Chu carried her bag and strolled over to Squirrel, asking: "You can cook?"
"A little bit." Squirrel smiled shyly.
Flying Mouse, who was passing by, rolled his eyes unceremoniously: "Don't be so modest, lest people really think you're a bad cook. Your mother is a descendant of an imperial chef, after all."
Ming Chu's eyes lit up. She decisively started pulling things out of her bag.
A head of garlic, two potatoes, a palm-sized piece of cured meat, a bag of dried chili peppers, a bag of Sichuan peppercorns, a small bag of dried fish, and even 8 century eggs.
