Chapter 84: Finding Yan Yan

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

As mentioned before, finding the parasites is actually quite simple.

The base has cordoned off the outskirts of S City, but there is still a vast amount of space within the city itself, which is exactly where Ming Chu headed.

Not everyone chose to go to the base. Even though the military was stationed there, the government had warned everyone that parasites could be lurking inside anyone's body. Consequently, many people in S City chose to stay outside, relying on the sealed food and water they had stockpiled, which made their lives more comfortable than those inside the base.

Under these circumstances, Ming Chu simply used a parasite to lure out three severely infected hosts by burning it in an alleyway.

She had become very adept at making the necessary incisions; she knew exactly how much force to use so that the parasite would crawl out without causing excessive bleeding.

Then, Ming Chu began using long tweezers to extract the parasites.

Having already consumed two physical enhancement pills, Ming Chu hadn't fully mastered her strength at first and accidentally crushed two parasites with the tweezers, but she quickly became faster and more proficient.

The three people had hundreds of parasites in their bodies. Excluding the dozen or so that were burned, Ming Chu had eighty in her glass jar.

Looking at them now, twenty or thirty had already been devoured by the others; the scene inside the jar was incredibly bloody and disgusting.

The three people on the ground were breathing weakly, lying motionless on the bed. Ming Chu pulled out a satellite phone and dialed the number she had left before heading out: "In the alleyway off XX Street, there are three severely infected hosts whose parasites have been drawn out. Requesting pickup."

"Received."

The response on the other end was crisp and efficient. Ming Chu hung up, moved to another street, and repeated the process.

The second time, Ming Chu lured out two people, and her one-liter glass jar was only half full. The third time, she lured out five people. This time, there were so many parasites that she filled the second jar and had to switch to a third.

However, because there were so many, quite a few of the parasites ended up jumping into the fire.
