Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Liu Yun had only turned her head because she heard a sound outside, but upon hearing Ming Chu's words, her face drained of color. She said in disbelief, "How is that possible? She has been with us the whole time..."
"Why wouldn't it be?" Seeing Liu Yun's stiff reaction, Ming Chu knew she had realized the same thing.
On their way from the infirmary to the laboratory building, Liu Xu had taken a fall when they got out of the vehicle.
It was that very fall that had torn a small hole in Liu Xu's protective suit.
At the time, Ming Chu and Liu Yun had confirmed that although the suit was torn, it was only for a split second, and her pants underneath remained intact. Yet, now she was clearly losing control.
Compared to the low pressure surrounding Liu Yun and Ming Chu, Liu Xu was the most optimistic of them all.
"Isn't it just being parasitized? I feel perfectly fine right now. Sis, Ming Chu, you don't need to worry. Maybe later, my sister will find a way to save me?"
"Yes, I will find a way to save you." Liu Yun snapped back to reality. She couldn't afford to dwell on it and said urgently, "Teacher Mi, please help me with this."
"Alright, alright, I'll help you." Teacher Mi was also startled.
Since Liu Xu was already infected, her protective suit was removed.
In truth, to the naked eye, Liu Xu looked no different than before. Her eyes weren't red, her skin tone was a normal pale—likely from fear—her gaze was clear, and there were no bite marks on her body. Ming Chu and Liu Yun had checked her together behind a curtain.
"Let's go. Time for a blood test." Liu Yun took a deep breath and called out to Liu Xu.
Liu Xu followed quickly, remaining optimistic: "Sis, don't worry. Even if I really am parasitized, it should be a mild case. I can wait for you guys."
Even with her saying that, Liu Yun found it hard to relax.
After drawing blood, Liu Yun performed the test.
She added a drop of the reagent to the blood. Sure enough, the blood slowly began to glow with an eerie blue light.
However, this blue glow was quite faint, which did confirm that Liu Xu's condition was still relatively manageable.
But where exactly was the parasite hiding?
Where would they have to cut to dig it out?
