Chapter 70: Cooperation

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

Although they talked about going upstairs, they couldn't go just yet.

The wind outside hadn't ceased, and worm eggs were still blowing everywhere.

None of the three could sleep. In the end, Ming Chu stayed by the window to observe the situation outside, while Liu Yun and Liu Xu busied themselves in the lab, cleaning up bloodstains and disinfecting the area.

The lab's ventilation system held out for four and a half hours before getting clogged by the dense mass of worm eggs. Liu Yun decisively shut off the ventilation fans, turning the entire lab into a nearly airtight space. The three of them sat down, remaining silent and still to minimize oxygen consumption.

Fortunately, the lab was quite spacious, and the wind stopped before they began to experience any difficulty breathing.

That was exactly the moment Ming Chu's side quest countdown ended.

The instant the wind stopped, a rustling sound arose outside, caused by the worm eggs that had been whipped up by the wind falling back to the ground.

"Should we go out?" Liu Yun asked, her chest feeling tight, trying to keep her voice as calm as possible.

Ming Chu said, "I'll go out and take a look first."

Ming Chu had the best physical condition of the three and was currently in the best state. She pressed her ear against the door and listened carefully to the sounds outside, but heard nothing at all.

Only then did she carefully open the lab door.

The moment the door opened, a dense, fine-sand-like substance poured in. Ming Chu's eyelids twitched, and she instantly kicked back the majority of the "fine sand," but a small portion still managed to slip through.

"These are worm eggs!" Liu Yun looked up at Ming Chu. "I want to see their condition."

Ming Chu: "..."

She should be used to this kind of research spirit by now, right?

Ming Chu pulled her leg back and signaled to Liu Yun: "Is ten minutes enough?"
