Chapter 69: Teacher Li Self-Destructs

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

The worm eggs had awakened.

Everywhere outdoors, sesame-sized worms were being blown up from the ground by the wind.

Their targets were humans who were still alive but not yet parasitized.

In an instant, many more people fell victim.

But Ming Chu and the others, protected within the laboratory, were not in much danger because there were no living worm eggs inside the lab.

The de-worming spray was quite effective; the young worm eggs couldn’t withstand the potency of the spray and all died.

But the eggs they killed were not even a drop in the bucket compared to the ones still alive outside.

Not even a fraction of a fraction.

“Don’t worry too much. Since they chose parasitism from the beginning, those that didn’t succeed in parasitizing shouldn’t live very long.” Liu Yun, being a researcher of biological habits, could naturally judge some biological characteristics.

Ming Chu felt half-relieved and softened her expression: “Since the laboratory is safe, we need to rotate our rest even more.”

So, following the previous plan, Ming Chu and Liu Yun went to rest. Liu Xu would guard for an hour, then Ming Chu would replace her after resting, and an hour later, Liu Yun would wake up to replace Ming Chu.

The door to the lounge wasn’t closed tightly. Teacher Li had been moved by Ming Chu and Liu Yun to another corner further inside, while Liu Xu guarded the door of the lounge.

However, once they were in the lounge, the first thing Ming Chu and Liu Yun said simultaneously was: “Teacher Li has a problem.”

After saying this, both were stunned.

Liu Yun recovered her senses and looked at Ming Chu seriously: “Even if I wanted to study Teacher Li, I wouldn’t have approached him rashly when you weren’t there. I think there’s something wrong with me for doing that, but I’ve been wearing my protective suit the whole time, so the possibility of me being parasitized is very small. It’s more likely that Teacher Li has a problem.”

Ming Chu also shared her discovery: “I went out and saw the parasitized people I had wounded. They didn’t completely lose their previous memories; they had impressions of you and me.”

Therefore, Teacher Li’s claim of having no memory at all was the biggest problem.
