Chapter 64: The Parasite Eggs Come Alive

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

What parasite eggs?

Ming Chu stopped daydreaming and strode toward Liu Yun. Liu Yun stepped aside, and at a single glance, Ming Chu spotted the parasite eggs beneath the microscope.

Dense clusters of black parasite eggs seemed to scatter as the snow particles melted.

And furthermore...

They seemed to be moving.

"The snow outside has melted!!" Goosebumps suddenly broke out all over Ming Chu's skin.

If they hadn't reached the laboratory just as the snow was melting, but had been outside instead, how many parasite eggs would be waiting after that snow melted?

"Are they alive or dead?" Ming Chu took a deep breath.

"Alive." Liu Yun and Ming Chu exchanged a look, and Ming Chu decisively said, "We need to seal this room up completely. We cannot leave a single gap!"

"You don't need to worry about the ventilation duct. I can turn on the humidification and dust removal mode. Even if bugs try to come through the duct, they won't actually be able to get in here." Liu Yun was very calm as she said, "The doors and windows of the laboratory have the highest grade of sealing. They should be able to keep the parasite eggs out."

"Then that only leaves the restroom. The melting parasite eggs might get into places like the water tower, so we must avoid using water and using the restroom. There are two jugs of drinking water in the lab, which should be enough to help us hold out for a while."

Liu Yun's composure made Ming Chu feel that she was still rather lucky; her side-quest teammates had their wits about them, which would take a huge load off her shoulders.

The next step was to figure out how to deal with the restroom in the break room.

The restroom in the break room had a squat toilet. Ming Chu hadn't thought about hoarding cement materials back then, but she had hoarded something else.

Ming Chu wore a subtle expression: "Look, how about we use this to plug up the toilet?"

When Liu Yun took a look, it turned out to be cat litter?

Ming Chu explained that after her spatial storage upgraded, she had been browsing survivalist forums again, and this cat litter was meant to be used when it wasn't convenient to go to the bathroom.
