Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Lin Meng actually wanted to go straight home.
She had seen her husband, Fang Minghong, but her father was still waiting for her at home, and she really, really wanted to see him.
However, Fang Minghong had already made the appointment and persuaded her: "After all, you've been traveling for so many days, and Dad is worried about you and the baby. If you get a simple check-up now and take the report home, wouldn't that be perfect for showing Dad and putting his mind at ease?"
Lin Meng was convinced.
She agreed and prepared to get in the car to follow Fang Minghong to the hospital.
Just as Fang Minghong got into the driver's seat, he saw Xu Ruo open the door and sit in the passenger seat. Lin Meng, who should have been in the passenger seat, was pulled by the arm by Ming Chu and sat in the back row.
Seeing Fang Minghong's stunned expression, Ming Chu said with a smile, "The passenger seat is the most high-risk position; it's best for pregnant women not to sit there. Mengmeng can just sit in the back with me."
Fang Minghong hesitated. "Aren't you going to look for a place to stay first?"
"I won't bother. I can't afford rent anyway, so I plan to crash at Mengmeng's place. Mengmeng, you wouldn't mind if I stayed with you and Sister Ruo, right?" Ming Chu said with a pitiful, pleading look.
Lin Meng was instantly charmed by her cuteness. She said repeatedly, "Of course you can! You can stay as long as you want. My house is definitely big enough, having two more people is no problem at all."
Seeing that Lin Meng was on Ming Chu's side, Fang Minghong changed his tune immediately. "Then you can go back first."
"No, I'm worried about Mengmeng too," Ming Chu refused firmly.
In the end, Ming Chu and Xu Ruo did not get out of the car.
The four of them in the car, plus the one in Lin Meng's belly, all arrived at the hospital.
Once at the hospital, Ming Chu didn't insist on wedging herself between the married couple; she and Xu Ruo just followed behind.
Fang Minghong had indeed made the appointment well in advance, and the timing was perfect; they only had to wait for one person before it was their turn.
After the base was established, the first special building to be restored was the hospital.
The doctors in the hospital now were quite normal, much like before the apocalypse, with one doctor per office.
