Chapter 30: Midnight Crisis

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

Three o'clock in the morning is when normal people are in their deepest sleep.

Ming Chu had grown accustomed to sleeping with Lin Meng. Whether because of Xu Ruo or Lin Meng's closeness to her, for her, the motorhome was a safe zone.

However, at this very moment, a sharp, pointed object descended from the sky and pierced straight through her body.

"Ugh..." Ming Chu on the bed jolted up like a fish out of water. She arched her back, her forehead covered in cold sweat, her breathing rapid, as if she couldn't catch her breath.

"Ming Chu? Ming Chu? What's wrong?"

Her movement woke Lin Meng, who was startled.

Even Xu Ruo, who was on the upper bunk, flipped down instantly: "What's wrong?"

"No, it's nothing." Ming Chu had already recovered. She was about to say she just had a nightmare when she suddenly realized there was something in her hand.

The motorhome wasn't completely dark at night; a small light was left on, just in case Lin Meng needed to get up to use the bathroom or drink water.

Now, by the light of this small lamp, Ming Chu saw that what she held in her hand was a note.

Ming Chu had been in this world for several days. Her ability to obtain information from the 'Forerunner' 10% chance had never triggered, so she had gradually forgotten about it.

Until now, holding the mysteriously appearing note, she simply lay on the bed and opened it.

[DANGER!! ESCAPE!!!]

Ming Chu's pupils contracted violently. Ignoring her physical discomfort, she quickly said to Xu Ruo: "Quick, we need to leave here fast. There is danger here. Xu Ruo, this is one of my abilities!"

Xu Ruo made a split-second decision and ran straight to the driver's seat. Fortunately, they didn't take the keys when resting, so Xu Ruo started the vehicle immediately.

Xiao Hu was the one on watch in the passenger seat at this hour. Seeing Xu Ruo's actions, he was startled: "Hey? Why are we driving suddenly?"

"Go wake them up. There's danger." Xu Ruo's voice was cold and steady.

Xiao Hu was still confused, but Xu Ruo was a teammate, and he trusted her.

Besides, he couldn't just fight Xu Ruo for the steering wheel in the middle of the night; that would be too dangerous. He had to wake the captain and Brother Wang first to discuss it.
