Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The door slowly opened, and both inside and outside, the two players saw each other at the same time.
To Ming Chu's surprise, the person outside was a woman.
It was not that she assumed there were no female armed police officers, but rather that the policewoman's voice was so hoarse that Ming Chu hadn't recognized it right away.
Sharing the same gender caused Ming Chu's vigilance toward the player outside to drop by a fraction.
Well, the kind where ninety-nine percent of it remained.
"You should come in first." Ming Chu took a proactive step back, though she kept facing the policewoman as she made room.
As soon as the player stepped inside, she noticed that Ming Chu was standing two meters away with a gun pointed right at her.
The player was not surprised at all. She introduced herself: "My name is Xu Ruo, twenty-five years old, seated in car three, seat ninety-nine. You look like a minor; does this train actually pull minors in too?"
"...I am an adult! I am already twenty-one years old!!" Ming Chu gritted her teeth in explanation.
Who could understand the pain of being mistaken for a minor every single time?
Yet what Ming Chu wanted to know more was: "How did you know I'm a player?"
"I wasn't certain you were, I just knew that at least one of the three of you was," Xu Ruo explained. "That's my talent. My talent is 'Hawk Eye', and one of its abilities is locating companions."
Ming Chu finally understood how she had been exposed.
Xu Ruo's candor genuinely made Ming Chu feel slightly more at ease, and what put her even more at ease was that Xu Ruo actually took out her identification to show her.
"This is my armed police credential. When I entered the game, I happened to be in the middle of processing some paperwork, so I was carrying all my IDs on me."
