Chapter 470: Xiao Cong Wakes Up

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

The moonlight gloves were truly extraordinary.

With a single punch from Lan Qi, a layer of black Eerie mist could be seen scattering outward—not the usual gaseous fluctuation given off by ordinary Eeries, but an actual dispersal of substance.

Although the Eerie could eventually gather its energy back together, this was definitely not the sort of Eerie mist that would automatically recover in a second or two.

Yet...

Yan Yan, standing nearby, looked thoughtful. "Does Lan Qi seem to have a slightly lower killing efficiency with those gloves compared to you?"

"The killing power of the gloves actually depends on the user's raw strength," Ming Chu remarked.

Yan Yan's expression grew even more peculiar. "Just how much stronger is your physical strength compared to ours?"

In truth, even Ming Chu found it difficult to gauge. She hadn't finished consuming all her advanced physical enhancement pills, and coupled with a few fortuitous encounters along the way, estimating a precise numerical result was nearly impossible.

Thus, this pair of gloves was still best suited for Ming Chu's own use.

Lan Qi had sensed it as well, though she was much more accustomed to wielding heavy melee weapons. Even so, using the abilities of the moonlight gloves to beat up Eeries felt utterly exhilarating.

It offered a wonderful sense of stress relief.

After landing a few combinations of punches, Lan Qi had beaten the core Eerie until it was more than half transparent, to the point where the creature couldn't even be bothered to fight back anymore.

Although Eeries weren't human and operated on entirely different mental wavelengths, that didn't mean they lacked brains whatsoever.

Even if they couldn't be permanently killed, getting their Eerie mist battered apart was hardly a pleasant experience.

As the Eerie slumped flat on the ground, Lan Qi gave it a kick. "Want to practice some more?"

The Eerie remained completely motionless.
