Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
A loud "boom" echoed through the air.
The giant shrimp slammed into the ground, splashing water and scattered raindrops onto the fair-skinned young man and his friend.
The shrimp was already 90% dead, its tiny legs twitching rhythmically.
A knife was handed over: "Do it."
"Huh? This?" The fair-skinned young man looked bewildered, but he instinctively took the knife. He felt a sudden weight in his hand and nearly dropped it.
Ming Chu: "..."
She couldn't help but ask: "How did you guys survive the previous worlds?"
"Maybe we were just lucky? We always hid until the end, and Xiao Wu is actually quite strong," the fair-skinned young man said sheepishly.
Ming Chu noticed something off: "You guys?"
His friend finally snapped out of his daze. He watched for a long moment, seeing that the mutated shrimp's legs had stopped moving and it truly looked like it was dying. He urged: "Xiao Bai, kill the mutated shrimp first."
Then he said to Ming Chu: "It's my talent... it allows us to stay in the same world."
Ming Chu: "?"
Such a talent existed in the world?
Ming Chu became interested: "Is this talent of yours something you can choose for anyone, or are there conditions?"
"It requires their trust in me to reach over 80," the friend added. "My talent acts like a red thread; I just need to tie it, but the thread cannot exist independently of me."
In truth, temporary binding didn't require such high trust; he could forcibly control someone.
Well, that person couldn't be someone significantly stronger than him.
So, he sometimes used it on the local residents of these different worlds, which could also be helpful.
He just didn't think this ability was very useful to Ming Chu, so he hadn't mentioned it, only speaking about the talent related to arriving in this different world.
"Can't others use it separately? Actually, not necessarily," Ming Chu mused. "What if it works after leveling up?"
The friend was stunned.
