Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Ming Chu's safe house covers an area of 150 square meters, and since this is the actual usable space without any shared building area, the final layout is roughly 7 rooms, 2 living rooms, 1 kitchen, and 3 bathrooms.
Yan Yan and Xu Ruo share a room, Lan Qi and Tali share one, Wen Zheng and Chang Zhou share one, and Zhong Shuang and Ming Chu share one. Although only four rooms are occupied, the remaining three are filled with supplies, so no one else can stay in the safe house.
Because of this, Yan Yan's words were overheard by those in the safe house, not including Lan Qi and Tali, who went to station themselves on the jellyfish for night watch.
"So there really is an improvement. I knew that such a simple ability would be too weak against those marine creatures," Ming Chu said, not surprised that they could gain some enhancements.
After all, the giant mutated swordfish she killed could only be considered pioneers; they would continue to mutate and would keep tearing each other apart and devouring one another.
No one knows what they will become later.
As Ming Chu was thinking, Mengmeng poked her cheek: "Big sister, big sister, the officials are calling you!"
"Connect it," Ming Chu said, snapping back to reality.
The call connected, and a very gentle, steady voice that made one feel at ease came from the other side.
"Hello, is this Miss Ming Chu?"
"Yes, it is," Ming Chu asked, "Is there something you need by contacting me today?"
"Hello, I am the official liaison, Bai Jing. We do have something we would like your help with. We have discovered a few... very strange people. They seem to be hunting down official mutants. I hope you can find the time to come over and identify if you recognize these individuals."
After a pause, the female voice added: "We only need you to identify them; we don't need you to take action. If you wish, we will not contact you throughout the process; I will only provide you with the location and the personnel."
"That's fine," Ming Chu agreed immediately.
"Good. From now on, every 24 hours, or whenever their location changes significantly, I will notify you via text message. If you need any assistance, please feel free to contact us."
The officials were very sincere.
