Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
"Brother, isn't that pickup line a bit too cliché?"
Chang Zhou, standing nearby, nearly spat out his water. He looked at the young man with an indescribable expression and whispered.
"I really do think she looks familiar." The young man pondered for a long time but still couldn't place her.
Chang Zhou chuckled and asked, "Brother, what's your name? Is your family very wealthy?"
"Me? I'm Zhong Xiangyang. My family does have some money, but I'm not inheriting the business. As long as I have enough to spend, I'm fine."
Zhong Xiangyang?
Zhong Shuang finally glanced over and recognized that face.
He was indeed from the Zhong family; by relation, he was her cousin.
But just as he said, he had no ambition and was content living off the meager allowance the Zhong family provided, so he had never really hovered around Zhong Shuang.
Let alone compete with her for power.
But recognizing him was one thing; she had no intention of acknowledging him.
Chang Zhou, however, let out an 'oh' sound: "You two share the same surname? You don't actually know each other, do you?"
"This brother is also surnamed Zhong? While there are quite a few people in this city with that surname, it's not exactly common. You wouldn't happen to be a distant relative of ours, would you?"
Zhong Xiangyang actually leaned in to examine Zhong Shuang carefully.
Zhong Shuang's gaze, however, fell on Chang Zhou. She narrowed her eyes, a faint, ambiguous smile on her lips: "How did you know my surname is Zhong?"
"Sister Ming and the others told me." Chang Zhou couldn't exactly say he learned it from the side quest that had just been shared, so he instinctively brought up the person he was most familiar with.
It was Ming Chu's habit to share side quests directly whenever she encountered acquaintances.
