Chapter 397: Toothy Fish

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

The rescue boat had indeed arrived.

The boat was flying a red flag, but it was just a small life raft with a makeshift canopy. The canopy was about two meters high and only covered the top, leaving the sides open, which meant rain was still blowing inside.

Quite a lot of rain was blowing in, in fact. The canopy was barely better than nothing; it just kept the cabin from flooding instantly.

Seeing the rescue boat, everyone was thrilled.

Even the man whose wrist Lan Qi had squeezed was hiding in the crowd, quickly grabbing his belongings to wait for the boat.

There were two rescue boats in total. The guesthouse owner and Xingzi were not in a hurry; they stepped back, letting the other guests board first.

Including the owner, Xingzi, and Ming Chu’s entire group, there were 29 people in the guesthouse. The first boat could only take 13 people because they had too much luggage, reaching its weight limit.

The rest would have to take the second boat.

“Move in! Hold your own luggage and squeeze together!”

The people on the boat were shouting at the top of their lungs.

The guesthouse owner looked at Ming Chu and her group: “Are you going first?”

“You two go ahead,” Ming Chu waved her hand. “We can stand just fine outside.”

Recalling the strength Lan Qi had displayed earlier, the owner didn't insist.

The owner and Xingzi boarded the boat. There was only enough room for three or four people to sit under the canopy. Yan Yan boarded first, and Wen Zheng, the only male and the one who looked the strongest, carried the wheelchair, placing Zhong Shuang and the chair onto the boat.

Yan Yan reached out to help pull her into the cabin.

Then Ming Chu and the others jumped on one by one.

Although they couldn't sit under the canopy, they could sit outside. It was fine for a few people to squat at the bow. Ming Chu took a large umbrella out of her bag and opened it, which managed to block a little bit of the rain.

That said, even if the rain didn't hit them directly, it wasn't comfortable to have it pelting against them.
