Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Without needing words, Tali was already used to instinctively coordinating with Ming Chu; she quickly helped pull the rope.
The two of them weren't necessarily faster, but because Ming Chu's strength was so immense, it certainly made people less panicked about her extraordinary power.
The fleshy tentacle missed its target and seemed unsatisfied, even chasing after them.
But it didn't catch up.
Ming Chu and Tali's strength dragged the man with the lifebuoy as if he were flying onto the ship. Ming Chu caught him with one hand and tossed him onto the deck, but that thing had followed them.
She subconsciously looked around for a weapon. This wasn't the seabed; she couldn't just pull a weapon out of thin air.
"Here, miss, do you want this?"
A harpoon suddenly appeared in Ming Chu's field of vision. Ming Chu's eyes lit up: "Thanks."
She took the harpoon and, without hesitation, thrust it at the tentacle.
A familiar piercing sound, a familiar pain.
A shrill screech seemed to ring out, and the tentacle recoiled violently. This time, the harpoon didn't come out; it retracted along with the tentacle. Ming Chu only had time to change the angle of the harpoon and stab it in hard again.
Well, the angle was probably about the same as a kebab; she had pushed it in vertically. If it tried to pull it out, it would definitely hurt again.
"Miss, you're awesome." An exclamation came from the side.
Ming Chu looked back and saw a tanned face.
She felt embarrassed: "Is that harpoon yours? I'll compensate you for one when I go down."
The sun-darkened young man grinned at Ming Chu: "What are you saying? I should be thanking you for saving us. I don't have the strength to fight that thing; you're our savior."
