Chapter 366: No Apprentices, Thanks

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

The two snipers moved to a different location, and the helicopter finally stopped following Ming Chu, though she was issued a walkie-talkie.

Ming Chu took the walkie-talkie with indifference and jumped off the building, which was over a dozen stories high.

For those in the helicopter who had already seen her jump up from the ground, this was no longer shocking, but the two snipers were left completely dumbfounded.

I mean, 16 stories, fifty meters high, jumping down without ropes or a glider?

Every time, she just stepped on an air conditioner unit, a narrow window ledge, or even just grabbed a drainpipe to cushion her landing?

Are they really risking their lives, or are they filming some sci-fi movie?

"Could it be her combat suit? Is that some kind of special high-tech gear?"

One of the snipers muttered.

The squadron leader in the helicopter glanced at him and scolded: "You still have the energy to think about that? Didn't you see I was right there? You don't know how to report when you encounter danger? Do you really want to throw your lives away for nothing?"

The two snipers were scolded into silence. The squadron leader rolled his eyes at them again, grumbled a few more times, and dropped them off at a suitable building nearby.

He even replenished their ammunition.

Then he went back to his normal patrol.

The helicopter patrols never stopped. Even though it consumed a lot of fuel, no one ever suggested pausing or slowing down.

One reason was that the ammunition at each sniper point was limited, so they couldn't leave too much behind.

The other reason was the threat of the Blood-Crazy patients. If a sniper didn't manage to commit suicide in time and became a Blood-Crazy patient, that patient would inherit the sniper's memories and know how to use firearms, perhaps even inheriting their marksmanship.

Leaving too much ammunition would only turn the barrels toward other normal people, or even snipers in nearby buildings.

The second reason was rescue. Although they couldn't station a helicopter at every building, if there was a helicopter patrolling, snipers could call for help when a Blood-Crazy patient found them.
