Chapter 325: The Escape Mission

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

Ming Chu's home wasn't exactly in a bustling downtown area. Many buildings in Country Y are actually quite low, especially residential ones, which are often three or four-story villa-style structures. The home Ming Chu bought is on the third floor of one such building.

The two floors below are occupied by an elderly couple and a retired professor, respectively. Ming Chu's third-floor unit is smaller than the ones below, only about 73 square meters, but it comes with an attic and a small garden, so the space is actually quite decent.

The 73-square-meter third floor only has one bedroom; the rest of the space is open-plan, making it look very spacious.

It isn't far from Ming Chu's school. Even Mengmeng reminded her through the earpiece, "Big Sister, you have a class this afternoon!"

Ming Chu felt helpless. "Can I skip class?"

"That doesn't fit the persona I found for you, Big Sister. You're someone who is supposed to get a full scholarship; you wouldn't miss class." Mengmeng's milky voice delivered a heavy blow to Ming Chu.

Ming Chu helplessly rubbed her forehead.

She first turned on the air conditioner. It was a small unit she had bought herself, as people here pay quite a bit of attention to noise, so many places don't have air conditioning at all. Honestly, Ming Chu was stunned when she first heard that.

However, since she had a small AC unit at home, Ming Chu wasn't going to let it go to waste. She turned on the AC and a fan, and the temperature dropped significantly.

Tali, who was truly suffering from the heat, sat on the floor and panted, "Is this weather the challenge of this world?"

"I don't know." Ming Chu said while tidying up her things.

She had bought some instant food, snacks, fruits, and vegetables. She put the fruits and vegetables in the fridge and the snacks and instant food in the storage cabinet. Once she finished cleaning up, Ming Chu opened her wristband to send out messages.

She selected all 113 online players and instructed Tali, "Don't open the door for anyone easily when I'm not here, remember? Especially those who claim to be players—don't believe them. Even if I encounter players, I will make contact myself; I won't have them come looking for you, understand?"

Tali nodded obediently.

Ming Chu put on her bag and headed out, planning to walk to class.

Her house was only a 10-minute walk from school, but Ming Chu hadn't even gone halfway when she suddenly heard exclamations.

She glanced to the side and saw someone leaning out of the 10th floor of a rare 11-story high-rise nearby.
