Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Amidst the sound of explosions, a familiar, agile figure appeared before Chu Xin. Lan Qi said concisely, "Move fast!"
Chu Xin was startled, "How did you all get here?"
"To provide backup." After saying those few words, Lan Qi had already charged forward.
Chu Xin had always known Lan Qi was highly skilled, but every time she saw her in action, she was stunned all over again.
And this time, it wasn't just Lan Qi; the people behind her—those wearing masks, face coverings, or even tactical helmets—all charged in with her.
She had brought the very best of her team to save people, yet compared to Lan Qi's squad, they looked completely outmatched.
Even though Lan Qi had only brought six people, their combat effectiveness was more than double that of her own sixteen-person team.
"Retreat while fighting!"
Chu Xin shouted, and everyone began to coordinate their combat retreat.
Once they were all out of the research institute, Lan Qi suddenly raised her hand and threw something.
A roll of explosives was tossed inside.
"Get down! Take cover!"
The battered and injured captain of the guards turned pale, spun around, and ran back frantically.
But it was too late.
With a thunderous "boom," the entire entrance of the research institute collapsed.
"Split up and go!" Lan Qi looked at Chu Xin, "You can make it out on your own, right?"
"I can." Chu Xin was very firm.
They had discussed the retreat route many times; once they were out of the institute, the escape wouldn't be that difficult.
