Chapter 202: Utter Confusion

Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train

To say it was an explosion is a bit of an exaggeration, because this blast wasn't aimed at taking lives; it was aimed at creating chaos.

In other words, the explosion didn't kill anyone, but it kicked up endless dust and smoke, accompanied by flashbangs and smoke grenades, shrouding the entire school in a pungent, thick fog.

Ming Chu could hear the people around her coughing uncontrollably. She immediately pulled Li Xian down to a crouch, squinting through her irritated eyes to assess the surroundings.

Although the smoke grenades obscured vision, Ming Chu's ocular modifications seemed to be more extensive than she realized; she could vaguely make out the environment and, of course, the chaotic state of the others.

But no one dared to move around.

Because the teacher on the podium was shouting at the top of their lungs: "Don't run around! Nobody move! Be careful, it's more dangerous outside! Everyone crouch where you are... cough, cough, cough!"

The teacher's voice was hoarse, but fortunately, the students below were obedient, so their worry didn't go to waste.

Ming Chu covered her nose with her jacket and said nasally to Li Xian, "We're leaving. We can't stay here. If their target is us, Tongtong is still over there all by herself."

"Right, right, there's still Tongtong." Li Xian's eyes were filled with tears, and she was worried, "But how do we get there?"

Ming Chu said, "I can try walking with my eyes closed. I'll hold your hand and lead you."

Li Xian wiped away her tears: "I can go in front, too."

"Be good. You stay behind me and cover my back; that's the only way I can feel at ease."

"Alright then." Li Xian closed her eyes as well.

Ming Chu held her hand, feeling her way along and carefully avoiding various obstacles.

Class 3 and Class 1 were on the same floor, but the two classrooms were at opposite ends of the hallway, with Class 2 in between.

Since it was class time, most students were listening to their teachers and not moving, so there weren't many people in the hallway.

Which meant there were still some people who had snuck out.

Ming Chu, who had also snuck out, bumped into several people. Some apologized for the collision, while others cursed under their breath.

Ming Chu ignored them all.

She made her way to Class 3, recalling Lin Tongtong's position.
