Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
"How could it be your property? Could it be that you became a Paranormal Police officer? How is that possible? So many of us were screened out." The school doctor was losing his composure.
Ming Chu pointed at the infirmary: "Then why don't you think about why it didn't trigger an alarm?"
"You know..." The doctor paused, frowning. "And you still dare to come and tell me these things?"
"Didn't you bring it up first? Did I say anything at the beginning?" Ming Chu spread her hands. "The fact that you dare to speak about it proves that at least it's safe here for now."
The school doctor rubbed his temples and looked at Ming Chu strangely: "Are all you intruders this capable?"
"Average, just average," Ming Chu said modestly. "I'm already one of the weaker ones on our side."
The doctor initially wanted to laugh—laughing at Ming Chu for being overtly modest while covertly showing off—but a spark of realization suddenly flashed through his mind.
In fact, they had summarized their own experiences: intruders basically appeared in batches. Every time intruders appeared, they would try to cooperate with them—there was no other reason, some of the intruders' abilities were simply too useful.
But every time, they still failed.
He had spent the last two days checking the remaining records, and from the clues, he could confirm that they had indeed cooperated with intruders more than once.
Every failure couldn't be blamed on them being wrong, nor could it be said that the intruders were too weak.
Perhaps it could only be said that there were too few people.
But this time was different. There were many intruders just in the school, so what about outside?
If there was an opportunity to win over the intruders—no, not even all of them, just half, or even a third—would their results be different?
Ming Chu seemed to be demonstrating her abilities, telling him that this time, the power of the intruders could not be underestimated.
In reality, she had just come to get sleeping pills, incidentally hoping to urge the doctor to help screen players faster, and only lastly to show off her new identity, implying that if the doctor needed any help, he could ask. Ming Chu: "?"
She watched the doctor’s expression change back and forth, and finally, he gritted his teeth: "Fine, I'll cooperate with you!"
Ming Chu: "?"
