Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Blue Star?
Zombie patients?
Combining these two things made Ming Chu's hair stand on end in an instant.
Her first reaction was the strange yet familiar scent she had caught when visiting Xu Ruo yesterday. She remembered it now; it was the smell of a zombie.
It was just so faint and mixed in with so many people that Ming Chu hadn't been able to confirm it immediately.
Her second thought was to wonder if it was the zombie virus they had brought back.
But that couldn't be it.
The parasites this time were equally dangerous, but the parasites inside the bodies of those who left the train had been contained. As Xu Ruo had told Ming Chu at the very beginning, the train at least had no malicious intent; it didn't intend to drag the entire Blue Star into the vortex of an apocalypse.
Moreover, the term "zombie patient" sounded strangely subtle.
Just as Ming Chu decided to call Xu Ruo, Xu Ruo's call came through.
"Sister Ruo?"
"Zombie patients have appeared on Blue Star." Xu Ruo's first sentence was the same.
Ming Chu said, "I know. I happen to be with Mr. Wen Zheng right now."
"Hmm. What I want to say is that the zombie virus they are infected with is somewhat similar to the one we encountered, but not entirely. To be precise, it is much milder. The symptoms only manifest during the initial viral invasion, rather than turning them into zombies instantly. The authorities have studied the medicine you brought back, and we might be able to treat this zombie virus ourselves. It won't become a true apocalypse."
Ming Chu felt a bit more relaxed. "That's good. What about the contagiousness of this zombie virus?"
"It is contagious, but compared to what we have seen before, its contagiousness has become very low, and it can be interrupted midway." Xu Ruo didn't know enough about medicine, but she had glanced at the relevant reports and could relay them to Ming Chu.
